Restorative

Crowns & Bridges

Dental crowns, commonly referred to as caps, are restorations that are used to cover and protect weak, damaged or unsightly teeth. A crown is a hollow restoration that is fitted over the top of your existing prepared tooth and can be fabricated from precious metals (e.g. gold), porcelain or a combination of metal and porcelain. A dental bridge, on the other hand refers to a restoration that comprises of more than a single crown fixed together to close a space (missing teeth) between two supporting strong teeth. An alternative solution for missing teeth are dental implants.

CEREC: State of the Art Technology

Dentaliving is one of a handful of pioneering dental clinics in North London and Essex that has its own onsite CEREC ceramic studio. CEREC brings state of the art technology to dentistry allowing us to manufacture and fit your permanent ceramic crowns, onlays, veneers or fillings in about 2 hours within a single visit. This means less drilling, no impressions, fewer surgery visits and more convenience for our patients. This is in contrast to the several weeks you would usually need to wait for a crown to be made by a dental technician. During the CEREC procedure, the dentist takes an accurate picture of the tooth which is then transmitted to the CEREC machine where 3D computer aided design produces the crown. This technology also makes it possible for us to produce the perfect result by accurately controlling the contour, fit and colour of your crowns onsite.

If you need dental crowns, bridges or would like a tour of our new ceramic studio give us a call to book your free consultation.
